Hi, I'm Tobias, a sociologist and theologian/scholar in the empirical study of religion. Currently I am affiliated as a lecturer at the faculty of Social Sciences, Utrecht University, and as an external PhD candidate at the Graduate School of Religion and Theology, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

My main research interests are on the cutting edges of sociology, psychology and religious studies, in particular processes of meaning making and identity formation in times of crisis.
